It does not matter how long you live, but how well you live.
Life is not all about the number of birthdays you celebrate; it goes beyond
your age. It’s about the content of the life you lived. We are all authors of
our own lives, we are writing a story with our lives and at the end of
everything it’s up to us to either become heroes or villains.
I believe the quality of life is measured by how much impact
we are able to make in the lives of others, in our generation and that of the
unborn. We still read of many great men of old not because they lived long but
because the impacted their generations so we still talk and read about them.
There is a saying that the age of Methuselah has nothing to do with the Wisdom
of Solomon, this clearly tells us that age is important but it’s not the
ultimate in achieving results.
When you leave this earth people will only remember you by your
works not the years you spent on earth. Remember that life’s most persistent
and urgent question is ‘What are you doing for others’. Our lives should be lived
to the benefit of others. What are you doing for others in the life that you
are living? Are you living or you are surviving? Many of us are only surviving
so we are passing through life as survivors with no sense of direction and
purpose. We are only interested in the number of birthdays we will be
celebrating on earth other than the number of lives we will be affecting.
At the end of it all, our ages would not be the standard
others will measure us with but the content of those years we lived, the
quality of life we lived, the number of people who got affected by our lives.
What are you going to be remembered for? At the end of your story are you going
to be a hero or a villain? Will your story live on for generations to read or
it will fade away like you never existed?
Start living a life of impact…Stop surviving and start
living.
Have a blissful week!!!!
